Abstract

Heros severus is one of the beautiful species of freshwater aquarium, which is focus of many breeders in Iran. The use of nanotechnology in various industries is increasing.for investigate the possibility of directly using these substances in aquaculture, the aim of this study was to investigate the combined effect of iron oxide nanoparticles(Fe2O3)and red cabbage extract on the growth parameters and histochemical changes of the digestive tube, liver and muscle of serum fish. In this experimental study, the impact of administering serum fish larvae a diet supplemented with biomar and 200 mg/kg of red cabbage extract, along with exposure to iron oxide nanoparticles at a concentration of 200mg/kg over a period of 45days, was examined across five treatment groups in relation to a control group. On the 15th, 20th, 25th, 35th, and 45th days of exposure, samples were collected, and analyses were conducted on the growth and histochemical characteristics of the digestive tract, liver, and muscle. The collected data were analyzed by Excel and SPSS20 statistical software. The groups treated with cabbage and iron nanoparticles had better growth characteristics than other groups. Also, the groups that received food containing cabbage had a better growth condition than the group that received iron nanoparticles, and this effect can be caused by the antioxidant effects of cabbage, vitamins A, B, C, anthocyanins and etc. be present in it.It seems that food biomar, if it is combined with red cabbage and iron oxide nanoparticles in appropriate concentrations, is a good suggestion for increasing fishery productivity.
