Abstract

Abstract:
In this study, natural mortality, age predicted total length, weight, and species composition parameters of purse seine was studied for 5 months in Kangan Port. Sampling was done every 15 days from December to May (fishing time of the fish). Based on the obtained results, Sardines were formed 75% of the target total fishing catch. The highest bycatch was for Leiognathus Daura with a frequency of 10.2% of total weight as well. The most frequency was 25-30 grams with a 43.5% and lowest frequencies of 25-20 g fish weight class with the highest and lowest was 10.5 respectively, lowest average length for rainbow sardines was observed 19 and 8.1 cm, for late April and December months by 1.8 cm respectively. The average length of 16 cm and an average weight of 26±13.8 grams and maximum length estimation calculated as 20.74. Applying the formula M=2K, the equivalent of natural mortality and total mortality was calculated as 0.62 and 0.8 respectively. Predicted based on age and length of log Φ was 2.125.
