Abstract

Caspian roach is one of the valuable fish of the Caspian Sea, which is released into the Caspian sea through artificial reproduction to restore stocks every year, so improving its diet to achieve more resistant and high quality fish is one of the important goals of aquaculture. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of nucleotide on growth factors and growth related genes (GH and IGF) of Caspian roach (Rutilus Caspicus) so 1500 fish fry with the average weight of 0/5 ± 0/01 were divided into 12 fiberglass tanks (400 L) and fed on 0, 0/3, 0/6 and 1/2 g/kg nucleotide for 8 weeks. At the end of the experiment fish were biometry and brain and liver tissue were separated. Results showed that, final weight (FW), weight gain (WG) and specific growth rate (SGR) had significant differences in 0/6 and 1/2 g with control (P<0/05). The lowest food conversation ratio (FCR) at significant difference with control was observed in 1/2 g (P<0/05). GH and IGF genes expression in 0/6 and 1/2 g showed remarkable differences with control (P<0/05). It can be concluded that, dietary nucleotide could improve growth factor in Caspian roach.
