The effect of different protein and carbohydrate to lipid ratios diets on growth rate of juvenile Huso huso

Abstract

A random block experiment 4×4 with sixteen diets containing four level of protein (35, 40, 45 and 50%) at four carbohydrate to lipid level (1.7, 1.4, .1 and 0.8 ) were designed to research about The ability of utilization of different levels of protein and carbohydrate to lipid ratios diet for juvenile Huso huso ( 5.4 ± 0.2, mean SD )in fourteen weeks. Fish fed 2-3% of body weight at each day. Different level of protein in diet were not affected on final weight (FW), specific growth rate (SGR) and feed conversion ratio (FCR) in all treatments (P >0.05). The best protein efficiency ratio belonged to fish fed diets containing 40% protein. At the same protein level The best of index growth and feed efficiency ratio were found in fish fed carbohydrate to lipid ratio 1.7 and 1.1 respectively. (P >0.05).also we observed a higher growth performance in fish fed compared to35:1.7; 40:1.1 and 45:0.8 compared other treatments (P< 0.05). the amount of body protein and lipid were affected by treatment, So, highest whole body protein content were seen for fish fed 40% protein and carbohydrate/lipid ratio 1.1(P
