[English]

The aim of this study was to assess local distribution of Jinga shrimp (Metapenaeus affinis) in the coastal waters of Bushehr Province during shrimp catching season (August and September 2013). Sampling done in three depth classes including less than 10 m, 10-20 m and 20-30 m. In study of effect of depth on catch per unit effort, significant difference was observed (P<0.001) and the most catch done on 10-20 m. In study of length frequency of male and female, the result shows there is significant difference between length frequency of males and females (P<0.05) and the biggest caught was a female shrimp with 15 mm length. Sex ratio shows female shrimps had more frequency than male shrimps (P<0.05) and ratio male to female was 0.86 to 1. This ratio was not significant difference in less than 10 m depth however it was significant difference in more depth.
